Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Metrya ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms form a legal agreement between you and r6lab Radosław Jóżefowicz, ul. Akacjowa 3, 55-003 Krzków, Poland (EU VAT: PL9730929262), the developer and publisher of the App ("we", "us", or "our").

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement (EULA), which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. Description of the App

Metrya is an iOS application that reads data from Apple HealthKit on your device and uses AI language models — accessed via an API key you provide — to generate personalised health insights, summaries, and responses to your questions.

Your health data stays on your device. We do not receive, collect, or store your health data or personal information. The App only downloads public reference content (such as the Research library) from our servers; no health data is sent in those requests. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

3. Free tier and Pro

Free tier

Core features of the App are provided free of charge and will remain free indefinitely. The free tier includes:

• Full Apple Health dashboard and data visualisation.
• AI chat — ask questions about your health data powered by your own API key.
• Biological age analysis.
• Limited previews of Pro features (session logs, check-ins, and events).

Pro

Metrya Pro is optional. It is sold in the App as three products: Metrya Pro Monthly, Metrya Pro Yearly, and Lifetime. The title, length, and price of each are shown on the purchase screen before you pay. While Pro is active, it unlocks the Pro features in the App, including Pro features added during an active subscription or after a Lifetime purchase.

4. In-app purchases

Metrya Pro Monthly

An auto-renewable subscription. The length is one month. The price is the price shown in the App when you subscribe. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. The subscription renews each month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Metrya Pro Yearly

An auto-renewable subscription. The length is one year. The price is the price shown in the App when you subscribe. Where the App also shows a price per month, that figure is the yearly price spread across twelve months, billed once a year. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. The subscription renews each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.

Lifetime

A one-time purchase. You pay once, at the price shown in the App. It does not renew and has no free trial. Pro stays unlocked for the life of the App, including Pro features added later.

How to cancel a subscription

Open Settings on your device, then your Apple ID, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.

Payment processing

All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment details. The purchase is subject to Apple's payment terms and conditions.

Restore purchases

If you reinstall the App or switch to a new device, restore Pro at no charge with Restore purchase on the purchase screen or in Settings. The same Apple ID used for the original purchase or subscription must be active on the device.

Refund policy

Purchases and subscriptions are final and non-refundable except where required by applicable law or Apple's refund policy. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not process refunds directly.

Price changes

Prices are set in App Store Connect and may change for new purchases. A Lifetime purchase already completed is not charged again. Apple notifies you before a subscription price change applies to a renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

5. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

To use AI features, you must provide a valid API key from a supported AI provider (currently Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google). By using the App with your API key, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining a valid API key from your chosen provider.
• Your use of the AI provider's services is governed by that provider's terms of service and privacy policy, independently of these Terms.
• All AI-related costs (API usage charges) are billed directly by your AI provider to your account with them. We have no involvement in and no liability for those charges.
• We make no guarantees about the availability, accuracy, or performance of any third-party AI provider.
• You are responsible for keeping your API key secure. If your key is compromised, revoke it in your provider's dashboard immediately.

6. Health & medical disclaimer

The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. All content generated by the App — including AI responses, health summaries, trends, scores, and biological age estimates — is for informational and personal wellness purposes only.

Nothing in the App should be used as a substitute for:

• Professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
• Consultation with a qualified physician, specialist, or other healthcare provider.
• Emergency medical services. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.

Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional before making any changes to your diet, exercise routine, medication, supplements, or other health-related behaviours. Do not disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something you read or heard in the App.

AI-generated health insights are based on general patterns and the data you provide. They are not personalised medical recommendations and may not reflect your individual medical circumstances. We expressly disclaim any liability for health decisions made based on the App's content.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems or networks connected to the App.
• Use the App to process data belonging to other individuals without their consent.
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent the App's purchase verification systems.
• Redistribute, sell, or sublicense the App or any part of it.

The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.

8. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by r6lab Radosław Jóżefowicz and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on your Apple device(s) for personal use in accordance with these Terms.

This licence does not include the right to copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the App.

"Apple Health", "HealthKit", "iPhone", and related marks are trademarks of Apple Inc. "Claude" is a trademark of Anthropic PBC. "ChatGPT" and "GPT" are trademarks of OpenAI. "Gemini" is a trademark of Google LLC. These trademarks are used for identification purposes only.

9. Third-party services

The App integrates with the following third-party services. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms:

• Apple HealthKit — subject to Apple's terms of service.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — anthropic.com/legal/consumer-terms
• OpenAI (GPT API) — openai.com/policies/terms-of-use
• Google (Gemini API) — policies.google.com/terms
• Open Food Facts — used for food and barcode lookups when you log a meal. openfoodfacts.org/terms-of-use
• RevenueCat — used for purchase and subscription verification. revenuecat.com/terms

We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of any third-party service. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
• Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs or viruses.
• Warranties as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
• Warranties that the App will be compatible with future versions of iOS or HealthKit.

AI responses are generated by third-party language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. We do not warrant the accuracy of any health insight generated by the App.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, r6lab Radosław Jóżefowicz shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data, profits, or revenue.
• Harm to health arising from reliance on AI-generated content.
• Costs incurred through use of a third-party AI provider's API.
• Service interruptions caused by Apple, HealthKit, or any AI provider.
• Unauthorised access to your device or API key.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for Pro (if any), or €10, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For users in the European Union, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence also apply.

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Poland, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise. EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

13. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

Continued use of the App after any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with a material change, you should stop using the App.

A change to these Terms does not take away Pro you have already paid for. A Lifetime purchase keeps Pro for the life of the App. An active subscription keeps Pro until that subscription ends or you cancel it.
