Hevy and Apple Health: Your Sets Next to Your Recovery
In Apple Health, a Hevy session is just a strength workout with a time. Connect your Hevy account with your own API key, and Metrya puts every set, weight and rep next to your heart rate, sleep and recovery.

Hevy knows your sets. Apple Health knows the rest.
Hevy writes each session to Apple Health as one strength workout: start, end, and maybe calories and heart rate. Sets, weights and reps are not part of an Apple Health workout, so apps that only read Health never see them.
Sets on the workout page
Exercises, weights and reps on the same page as heart rate, zones and the night after.
Progress per exercise
How each lift moved over your sessions. Bests are free, the 1-rep max line is Pro.
14-day muscle map
Which muscle groups you worked and how long ago.
Lifting finally counts
Heart rate stays low between sets, so a hard lift used to look easy. Metrya also counts lifting by how hard you rated it, so your load and recovery time reflect the session.
Effort-based load
A rated lift counts its minutes at your effort when that is higher than heart rate shows.
Recovery time
Hard lifts add hours before your next hard session. An estimate for planning.
Your Hevy note
The note on a Hevy workout is copied to the workout note, where the Advisor can read it.
Or log your lifts in Metrya
Metrya 2.12.0 has its own strength logger. Metrya is the main log, and Hevy is an addition.
Built-in logger Free
- About 130 lifts, or add your own.
- Each set starts from last time, one tap on Set done.
- Rest timer with sound and a notification.
- Saved to Apple Health once, even if your Watch recorded it too.
Connect Hevy in a minute
Get your Hevy API key
Hevy gives a personal API key to Hevy Pro members in its settings.
Paste it in Metrya
Train › Connected apps › Hevy. The key is stored on your iPhone.
Your sets appear
Metrya matches each Hevy workout to the same workout in Apple Health and shows its sets.
Your health data stays on your iPhone
Your iPhone calls the Hevy API directly, with your key. There is no Metrya server in between, and no account. Metrya only reads from Hevy and never changes your workouts there. Disconnect at any time. The Hevy connection is experimental: a workout, set or note may occasionally not come through or look different.
Does Hevy sync sets to Apple Health?
No. Hevy writes a workout summary. Sets, reps and weights are not part of an Apple Health workout.
Do I need Hevy Pro?
Yes. Hevy gives API keys to Hevy Pro members only. You also need Metrya Pro. Pro is $14.99 a year or $19.99 once for lifetime.
Will the same workout count twice?
No. If your Apple Watch recorded it too, Metrya puts the Hevy sets on that workout.
Your lifts, next to your recovery.
Download Metrya, allow Apple Health, then connect Hevy under Train › Connected apps.
